At Saint Louis Story Stitchers , visual art is a powerful tool for youth expression, storytelling, and community impact. Our young artists have contributed to large scale public murals alongside notable artists such as Katherine Bernhardt and Simile Sudduth, gaining hands on experience in collaborative art making that shapes the cultural landscape of St. Louis.
Youth also design and build props for performances, create original artwork for podcast covers and digital projects, and participate in specialized workshops that strengthen their artistic practices, young people are encouraged to expand their creativity, explore new mediums, and develop their artistic voice. The program cultivates confidence, discipline, and imagination. Empowering youth to see themselves as creators with the ability to influence their community through visual storytelling.
