Peace in the Prairie Highlighted

Peace in the Prairie is highlighted again this weekend!

Saint Louis Story Stitchers Artists Collective presents Peace in the Prairie, an original body of work exploring the concepts of peace and violence, juxtaposing urban life as experienced by African American people living in the city of St. Louis, Missouri and the state’s endangered prairie lands. Songs and poetry reflecting experiences in the prairie are presented at venues throughout the region.

Catch stories from our latest journey to the prairie on the air waves in a story by a young reporter named Ulaa Kuziez in St. Louis Public Radio’s St. Louis On the Air:

A trip to the prairie connects young Black artists to nature

Tonight, Saturday, September 30, at Wash U’s School of Medicine, Story Stitchers artists will share work created during Covid-19 through video and performance, which includes excerpts from Peace in the Prairie. Free with a registration.  REGISTRATION LINK
