Finding Peace in Community

This week has been shocking and very sad, most especially for those connected with Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.

We want to stay close and check in with our neighbors in The Ville at St. Phillips Lutheran Church’s Harvest Festival. This is a time to come together as a cohesive community to support, which is one of the strengths of Story Stitchers—a natural conduit of community for those who are impacted by and care about gun violence.

This Saturday we will explore coping with trauma from gun violence with our long time partner Dr. LJ Punch from The T. The T promotes holistic healing from trauma related to bullet injuries and overdose here in St. Louis.

Youth will lead a Q&A with Dr. Punch and perform some healing songs. Please bring your questions and join our community circle. There will also be dancing, free food, and fun!
