
North city youth aims to end gun violence through creative art

Journalist Brittney Verner from KDSK’s 5 On Your Side visited the Stitchers Storefront Studio today to learn about the creative work of Saint Louis Story Stitchers related to gun violence prevention. Brittney filmed a recording session, interviews and a focus group session with Brown School of Social Work students from Washington University. She also went to the Sheldon Art Galleries to film the exhibition, Pick the City UP, on view through April 21st.

Galleries are open until 9 p.m. for First Fridays in Grand Center.
The Sheldon Art Galleries are open Tuesdays, Noon – 8 p.m.; Wednesdays – Fridays, Noon – 5 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and one hour prior to Sheldon performances and during intermission. Admission is free.
