Yes, we can! We can stop the violence St. Louis. The tipping point for change is 70%. That means if 7 out of 10 of every citizen in STL says enough we CAN pick our city UP out of this tragedy. Don’t you miss hearing those words? Yes, we can STL!!
Story Stitchers teamed up with the City of St. Louis Department of Health and the Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America this past Saturday to kick off our summer program called Pick the City UP Tour!!
#dropthegun #keepthepeace
At both Marquette Park and at Tower Grove Park Stitchers enjoyed interacting with people from the neighborhoods, learning more about health issues affecting local youth and seniors, and doing some pretty serious damage to our microphones!
Artists in the cast included KP Dennis, Dadishi Buchannon, NewNu, and Story Stitchers leading young performers – Griffin, Chelsea, Jonathan, Taron, Toryon, Trevor and Juwuan!
Artists and volunteers in the crew included Susan Colangelo, Cassandria White, Gail Rock, Kathy Tun, Allen Williamson, Anna Maria Tucker, Sandra Dennis, leading Story Stitchers young photographer Jaquan, and STL Youth Jobs interns Kelsey, Lester, Zak and Rachael.
Next Tour stop is at one of our home bases outside the Studio on the Delmar Loop!!
