From the audience…

DSC_0518The first ever Saint Louis Story Stitchers Open MIC / Poetry SLAM is over! MC Britt Baker created a relaxing, unique and welcoming atmosphere for all. Special thanks to everyone who came out to listen, participate and support.

Thoughts from the audience at the September 2nd, 2016 Open MIC / Poetry SLAM at Kranzberg Arts Center.

Audience Interview 9/2/16 at the Open MIC / Poetry SLAM

Chance (Story Stitchers STL Youth Jobs intern): So what are your thoughts on tonight’s show?

Ken Jones: I think it’s refreshing. I like the idea that a group of young people and people of different ages decide to get together and create a collaborative where we can share in the story about how we can overcome our biases and how we can create synergy between our love for each other and different people in our community.

Chance: What did you like so far?

Ken Jones: The honesty and the fact that people are willing. The willingness I think is more attractive than anything.

Chance: Thank you.

Don’t miss the next Open MIC with MC Britt Baker!
