Saint Louis Story Stitchers will soon host two Creative Connection Open MIC / Poetry SLAM sessions with MC Britt Baker. Britt is a 2016 Regional Arts Commission CAT Fellow and an alumni of Spelman College, BS’11 with a background in writing and conservation education and is a performing artist in music and spoken poetry. She is an artist in residence at Saint Louis Story Stitchers.

Britt Baker is an incredibly talented artist on the cutting edge of social practice art. She mixes music, poetry and rap into a sweet tonic with a powerful punch. We are thrilled to have her head up the Open MIC/Poetry SLAM sessions. – Susan Colangelo, president
