Saint Louis Story Stitchers Artists Collective is now a proud member of the national network entitled Brave New Voices.
The Brave New Voices Initiative (“BNVI”) is a seven-year initiative, dedicated to building a sustainable field of nonprofit organizations and programs throughout the United States that intersect arts education, and youth development practices with a deep focus on long-term civic engagement and public presentation. Brave New Voices is powered by Youth Speaks.
In St. Louis UrbArts is also a member of the BNV Network. We are starting to discuss possible collaborations. We invite other non-profit organizations to join the conversation. Let’s make St. Louis a hub where our young are encouraged to speak up and become responsibly engaged citizens.
There are still a few slots open for St. Louis youth to participate in the Stitchers Teen Council’s gun violence prevention discussion on November 14th between teens and civic leaders. Email us today via http://storystitchers.org if you are interested.
