Stitchers Teens will present their work on youth homelessness awareness at a public event.

Stitchers Teens will be recognized at the Showcase Celebration for their work with the Patrick Henry Downtown Academy. Teen Council members applied for and received a Youth Mini-Grant from the St. Louis Mental Health Board to create twenty backpacks called Big Hug In A Bag for transient students at this elementary school where 50 out of the 250 Pre-K through grade 6 children are living in transient situations. Teens partnered with the Life Foundation, who provided school supplies and Ready Readers who provided two books per backpack.
